Terms of Service

Welcome to Made Plans. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Made Plans applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Made Plans.
1. Eligibility and Age Requirements
You must be at least 18 years old to use Made Plans. This Service is intended for adults only and is rated 17+ in the App Store (effectively 18+). By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You are legally able to enter into this agreement
- You have accurately verified your age during account creation
- You will not allow anyone under 18 to use your account
Age Verification: During sign-up, you must confirm that you are 18 years or older. This verification is required and will be stored with your account. Providing false age information may result in immediate account termination.
You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all information you provide, including your age verification.
2. Account Responsibilities
- Keep your login credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes on third-party rights.
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service, including automated scraping or reverse engineering.
- Use Made Plans for commercial booking services without our consent.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Image Upload Policy and User-Generated Content
Made Plans allows users to upload images (up to 5 per plan) to enrich date planning suggestions. This user-generated content is subject to the following policies:
Content Standards: To keep Made Plans welcoming and appropriate, you agree to:
- Share only images you own or have permission to use.
- Avoid nudity, pornography, graphic violence, hate symbols, or otherwise harmful content.
- Keep filenames, captions, prompts, and other metadata free from profanity, slurs, or harassment.
- Remove personal data about others when requested and respect privacy rights.
Content Moderation: We use automated and manual review to enforce these standards. Our moderation system includes:
- Automated profanity detection in filenames and metadata
- Server-side content review
- Manual review when necessary
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts for repeated or serious violations. By uploading content, you consent to this moderation process.
5. AI Vision Processing
Photos uploaded to Made Plans are analyzed using AI vision processing technology to extract interests and generate personalized date planning insights. This automated analysis identifies visual themes, activities, and preferences shown in your images to power our recommendation engine. This AI processing is a core feature of the Service. By uploading photos, you confirm you have the right to share them and consent to this processing. If you do not consent, do not use the Service.
5a. Date Suggestions and Content
Venue Suggestions: Made Plans generates date suggestions including restaurants, cafes, parks, museums, activities, and other venues. Some suggested venues may serve alcohol (such as restaurants with bars, wine bars, cocktail lounges) or involve tobacco (such as cigar lounges). These references occur infrequently and are incidental to the venue suggestion, not the primary focus of the app.
Content Rating: Made Plans does not contain:
- Sexual content or nudity
- Profanity or crude humor in app-generated content
- Horror or fear-themed content
- Graphic violence
All app-generated content is appropriate for adults and complies with our content standards.
6. Subscriptions & Payments
Subscription Plans
Made Plans offers subscription plans with different features and limits:
- Free Plan: Basic date planning features with 2 plans per 30-day period (resets every 30 days from account creation)
- Plus Plan: Advanced interest analysis, 5 plans per 30-day period (resets every 30 days from subscription start), and additional activities per plan
- Premium Plan: Unlimited plans, more activities per plan, and more venue suggestions per location
Plan Limits: Plan limits reset on a rolling 30-day basis. For paid subscribers, the 30-day period starts from your subscription purchase date and renews every 30 days. For free users, the 30-day period starts from your account creation date and renews every 30 days. Only confirmed and completed plans count toward your limit; draft plans do not count.
Pricing for subscription plans is displayed in-app and may vary by region. All prices are shown in your local currency and include applicable taxes.
Payment Terms
- Automatic Renewal: Subscription charges recur automatically on a monthly basis until canceled.
- Billing: Payment is charged to the payment method associated with your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Renewal Charges: Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Management: Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase.
- Free Trials: Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your platform's account settings:
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Made Plans → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play Store → Subscriptions → Made Plans → Cancel Subscription
Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of the paid period.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple (for iOS) or Google (for Android) according to their respective refund policies:
- iOS: Contact Apple Support or request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com
- Android: Contact Google Play Support or request a refund through play.google.com/store/account
Made Plans does not process refunds directly. All refund requests must go through your platform's support channels.
Subscription Changes
- Upgrading your plan takes effect immediately; you will be charged a prorated amount
- Downgrading your plan takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle
- Changes to subscription plans may affect your access to certain features
Free Trial
If we offer a free trial, it will be clearly indicated before you subscribe. At the end of the trial period, you will be automatically charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.
7. Intellectual Property
Made Plans owns all rights to the Service and its content, excluding user-submitted content. You grant Made Plans a limited license to host, process, and display content you submit for the purpose of providing the Service.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is". We make no guarantees regarding availability, accuracy of recommendations, or suitability for any purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Made Plans disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
9. Limitation of Liability
Made Plans's total liability for any claim arising under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to use the Service in the prior twelve months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Termination
You may stop using Made Plans at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or pose a risk to the Service. Upon termination, provisions intended to survive (e.g., indemnity, limitation of liability) remain in effect.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, excluding conflicts of law rules. Legal actions must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, NY.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service or legal requirements. We will notify you of material updates through the Service or by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
